2013
Yeah, I know. I know. I’m late on posting about this.
The Papal conclave of 2013 began on March 12th, 2013. On March 13th, white smoke began to come from the Sistine Chapel chimney, indicating that consensus had been reached for a new Pope’s election. Although I don’t find myself particularly… interested in this beyond the historical significance of the election of the new Pope, what I do find interesting is the fact that he only has one lung. As a teenager, he had to have his other lung removed due to infection. Leave it to me to find that more interesting than his Franciscan background or anything else relevant to his ascension to Papacy.
And now I’m wondering if I should have spelled that as Papacy or, say, papacy. I can be such a dork.
Because of this, I am wanting to read Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here. In the wake of Pope Benedict’s resignation, the Papal conclave and the election of this new Pope, I’ve heard a lot of things about Saint Malachy’s predictions. And what can I say? I do enjoy reading these sorts of things, even if it’s for no more of a reason than their historical importance or humorous value… depending, of course, on which one you are talking about (historical events or predictions concerning “the end [of times]“)…
